Andrea is Head of the Pan-European FIG Team and co-Head of European Equity Research at Mediobanca. He manages a team of >30 analysts across sectors and locations, producing research on over 200 European stocks while also functioning as competence centre for the wider Mediobanca Group and strategic advisor to the bank’s top management. As a publishing analyst himself, Andrea writes on the European banking sector with a special focus on European policy, regulation and the technological developments impacting the industry. Over the past years, he published several papers on the developments of central bank digital currencies flagging the geopolitical consequences of a digital euro and its potential repercussions on financial stability, with a series of lectures on the topic given at several European universities. Lately, Andrea published a report on the impact of CBDC on banks' business models.
