Poste Italiane are the largest distribution network in Italy. Their activities encompass correspondence and parcel delivery, financial and insurance services, payment systems and wireless telephony. Thanks to a network of 12.800 Post Offices, over 135 thousand employees, 510 billion euros of managed movements, and over 34 million clients, Poste Italiane are an integral part of the country's social and productive fabric. Poste Italiane, with Deliver 2022. the new 5-year Strategic Plan, aim to maximise the value of their distribution network and seize the market opportunities offered by the digital revolution, through the enhancement and optimization of their payment systems, a re-organization of the correspondence and parcels segment, the development of new financial services, the consolidation of their leadership in insurance services. In the payments sector, Poste Italiane avail of a multichannel and integrated distribution platform, which relies on their network of Post Offices and state-of-the-art digital infrastructure. To foster further growth in the sector, on 1st October 2018 PostePay SpA was launched, the biggest Electronic Money Institute (IMEL) in Italy, bringing together Poste Italiane activities and competences in the payment and telecommunications segment.
